Review policy

Pending legal review

This text is complete and applies as published, but it is still being reviewed by a lawyer. If that review leads to changes that affect you, we will announce them in the way these documents describe for changes.

This policy explains how Virtual Home Stage asks for, publishes and counts reviews, so that the reviews and the score on our site give a fair picture of all our customers.

How we ask

We ask every customer for a review after a delivery, unless they have switched these emails off. We do not choose whom to ask based on how an order went, and we never ask only satisfied customers for permission to publish.

What we publish

We publish every review we receive with the reviewer's consent, whether it is positive or negative and whatever its rating.

We do not publish a review that is abusive, off-topic, contains personal data of other people or appears to be fake. When we do not publish a review, we record why.

We do not change the text of a review, except to remove personal data. We never write reviews ourselves, and we do not pay for reviews or reward positive ones.

Free orders and our founding programme

Every published review shows whether the order was paid. Reviews of free orders, such as a free first photo or a trial, are labelled as such.

Agencies in our founding programme received their first property free in exchange for honest feedback. Their reviews carry the label “First property free in exchange for honest feedback”. The free property never depended on giving a review, or a positive one.

The average score

The average score is calculated from all rated reviews of paid orders that we receive through our own review request, whether or not the reviewer allowed us to publish the text. Reviews of free orders and of our founding programme do not count towards it. We show the score only once it is based on at least 5 reviews.

Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw your consent to publication at any time by contacting us at hello@virtualhomestage.com. We then remove your review from our site.
